Venngage AI Presentation Generator Tutorial: I Tested It on a Real Pitch Deck
This Venngage AI Presentation Generator tutorial walks through how I created a real pitch deck from a prompt, then edited the result inside Venngage to make it usable for an actual Q2 product launch presentation. If you are looking for a step by step guide on how to use Venngage AI for presentations, pitch decks, prompts, editing, accessibility, and export, this post covers the full workflow.
A step by step Venngage tutorial showing how I used the AI Presentation Generator to create a real pitch deck from a simple prompt. Inside, I break down how the tool works, how to write a better prompt, how I edited the generated slides, and how to export an accessible final presentation.
What the AI Presentation Generator Does
You type in a prompt, including your topic, tone, structure, and slide count, and Venngage builds the full deck for you. The content it generates is not filler. It came back usable, organized, and professionally structured.
What it handles
Generates a complete multi slide deck from your prompt
Picks a layout and color palette automatically
Writes draft copy for every slide
Applies consistent fonts and spacing throughout
Includes placeholder images relevant to the topic
Best for
Pitch decks and proposals
Internal campaign presentations
Workshop and training decks
Any time you need a fast, structured starting point
How to Write a Prompt That Gets Good Results
The more specific your prompt, the better the deck. The prompt I used for the Q2 pitch deck was detailed, and that is exactly why it worked.
What to include in your prompt
The number of slides you want
The purpose of the deck and your audience
The tone, like confident, clean, friendly, or bold
What each slide should cover
Any specific goals, KPIs, or key messages
Example prompt structure
Create a 6 slide pitch deck for a Q2 product launch campaign aimed at a marketing lead and internal stakeholders. Tone: confident, clean, modern. Include a title slide, the problem, key insight, the big idea, channel plan, and KPIs with a timeline. Use concise headlines and short supporting copy.
How I Edited the Generated Deck
The AI gives you a strong draft. These are the four edits I made to turn it into something that actually looks like mine, all done inside Venngage without leaving the editor.
The four edits I made
Changed the body font to Poppins, one font swap changes the whole feel of the deck.
Used "Improve Text", selected the copy on each slide and asked AI to shorten and simplify it. The before and after was noticeable immediately.
Generated new images, replaced the generic stock photos using "Generate Images" inside the AI tools panel. I typed "ROI graph" and got something that actually matched the slide.
Replaced icons, used "AI Generate Icons" to get icons that matched the content instead of the default ones. This is one of those things that makes a deck feel intentional.
Pro tips
Edit copy first, then replace images, because the text shapes what the image should feel like.
When generating icons, describe the action not the object, so "strategic partnership" works better than "handshake".
Apply your brand kit right after generating so colors snap into place before you start editing.
Accessibility Check + How to Export
Before exporting, Venngage has a built in accessibility checker under File → Accessibility. I ran it on the finished deck and all checks passed, including color contrast, text size, and links.
Accessibility checker covers
Color contrast for normal and large text
Text size minimums
Link accessibility
Alt text on canvas elements
Export options
PNG HD, best for high quality sharing and social
PDF, best for hyperlinks and printing
PowerPoint, download to present offline
If It Looks Off
Quick fixes for the most common issues after generating.
The content does not match your goal
Your prompt was too broad, so add more context and regenerate.
Specify the audience and the purpose in the prompt. "For a marketing team" changes the tone entirely.
The design feels generic
Apply your brand kit right away, that alone fixes most of it.
Change the body font to one you actually use.
Replace at least the cover image with something specific to your topic.
